Tony and Brenda Wise arrived in Portugal in 2021 from Alaska and started working on the remodeling of their current glamping site in Cerveira. Tony retired from telecommunications and hopes that next year he will have time to ride his motorcycle. Tony grew up with a military father and spent his early years in Japan, then had a few years in the state of Tennessee before finishing high school in Sicily. After that, he spent 30 years living in Alaska. Brenda is a retired nurse and author of the book Tundra Courage. She hopes that now that the renovations are complete, she can take some time to write the next book in this series. Brenda enjoys or has enjoyed running, the outdoors, marathon canoeing, rock climbing and bicycling.
Matt and Joe have adapted to their move to Portugal and enjoy music, legos and imagination. Matt likes to compose music and Joe likes to create ways to solve problems with things. He also loves his bike and triathlon.
Ruth is our 7-year-old golden doodle whose sole purpose in life is to give and receive love. Max the cat was adopted last year after being found as a kitten on the side of the road after being hit by a car. He was given his name because of his broken jaw. He does his best to avoid most people, but is guaranteed to be watching the campsite activity.
